What does it do?
Senses and records movement, light levels and temperature in key points around the home, allowing authorised people to see someone's routine without being invasive. It also uses configurable alerts to notify people of any changes to the routine. How does it help?
With careful placement, the sensors can show if someone is out of bed, using the fridge, sink, toilet or even if they have left the home. Notifications to loved ones or carers provide important prompts to any deterioration in someone's condition or to give a first indicator to problems arising with someone's health and well-being.Who does it help?
It helps to reassure family, carers and professionals supporting the service user by adjusting care to patterns in routine, reassuring them that everything is going well or notifying them when it isn't.How does it work?
The Canary system simply plugs into a power point in the home and uses its own internal SIM card to send data to the Canary system. The service user does not need to do anything at all as the motion sensors are battery operated and the unit is simply plugged in. A link is sent to anyone who is authorised to view the data on the website and they add a password to the account. Once logged in they can view the graphical data.
